The After-School All-Stars hosted the annual Media All-Stars Awards Banquet on June 2nd at the Golden Nugget. Five schools (Bridger, Cashman, JD Smith, Faiss, Orr) all attended and presented wonderful Media All-Stars Projects! Students, families, teachers, principals, ASAS Board Members and staff all were treated to a delicious buffet courtesy of the Golden Nugget. ASAS Board Members present at the event included: Elaine Wynn, Allen Kaercher, Jenna Morton, Jack & Terry Mannion, Judy Reich and Kathy Harney. The "Best of Class" awards were handed out to each school by the Academy of Judges (Kathy Harney, Judy Reich and Terry Mannion). Plus, the Blue Man Group Awards were given to each schools' outstanding student.
Raffle prizes (IPODS, Cameras, show tickets, and baseball game tickets)were donated by SuperPawn, Premeire Exhibits (Titanic & Bodies), Las Vegas 51s Baseball club, and Cirque Du Soliel. The Media All-Stars students did a great job with the Media Projects and Presentations. Thanks to everyone for making the 2009 Media All-Stars Awards Banquet a big success!
